Earning rates

The Sapphire Reserve for Business earns Ultimate Rewards points at premium rates on travel, with a business-focused twist: 8X on all travel booked through Chase Travel (including The Edit), 4X on flights and hotels booked directly with the airline or hotel, 3X on social media and search engine advertising, and 1X on everything else.

That 3X advertising category is the key difference from the personal Sapphire Reserve, which earns 3X on dining instead — a swap that suits businesses pouring money into digital marketing. As with the personal card, elevated earning is concentrated on direct and Chase Travel bookings, so where you book matters.

Rewards value

The value of these points swings widely by redemption method. Standard Chase Travel bookings redeem at a lower fixed rate, while Points Boost can lift select premium flights and hotels toward 2 cents each.

The highest value comes from transferring to Chase's airline and hotel partners — World of Hyatt, United, and others — where points routinely clear 2 cents and can reach more on premium-cabin awards.

Perks and benefits

The Sapphire Reserve for Business offers lounge access, over $2K in annual credits, complimentary elite status with IHG, benefits with DoorDash, and much more.

Airport Lounge Access

The card includes a complimentary Priority Pass™ Select membership covering 1,300+ lounges and access to the growing Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club network — named Best Credit Card Lounge Network of 2026 — with two complimentary guests each.

You also get select Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges when flying a Star Alliance carrier (with one guest).

Note: The lounge benefits cover the primary cardmember, not employee cardholders — though employees can enter as your guests.

$300 Annual Travel Credit

Up to $300 in automatic statement credits against travel purchases each year — the easiest credit on the card, applied to the first $300 of anything that codes as travel, with no enrollment or portal required.

Up to $500 The Edit Hotel Credit

Up to $500 a year in statement credits on prepaid two-night stays booked through The Edit by Chase Travel, applied as up to $250 per transaction across two bookings.

As of 2026 it's a full calendar-year credit rather than split into halves, and The Edit stays layer on perks like a $100 property credit, daily breakfast for two, and room upgrades when available.

Very easy to use credit.

Up to $420 in DoorDash Benefits

A complimentary DashPass membership plus $25 in monthly DoorDash promos — a $5 restaurant promo and two $10 promos usable on groceries, retail, and more.

The monthly credits are use-it-or-lose-it, but DashPass itself runs for as long as you hold the card.

Useful if you use DoorDash and they service your area. Useless if you don't.

$400 ZipRecruiter Credit

Up to $400 a year in statement credits for ZipRecruiter — up to $200 from January–June and $200 from July–December.

A business-tooled credit that's genuinely useful if you hire, and worthless if you don't. It replaces the personal card's dining/StubHub credits.

$200 Google Workspace Credit

An annual statement credit toward Google Workspace, Google's business productivity suite (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet, and Gemini). A practical offset for any business already paying for Workspace.

$100 curated gift card credit

Earn up to $100 per year in statement credits when you purchase gift cards from a curated collection on giftcards.com/reservebusinessopens overlay. You’ll earn up to $50 in statement credits January through June and up to $50 July through December.

Very simple credit that only requires you to just remember to buy some gift cards.

IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite Status

Complimentary IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status through 12/31/27, bringing room upgrades, late checkout, and bonus points at IHG properties (primary cardmember only).

Other Shortcut: You can also get complimentary IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite Status by holding the IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card.

Global Entry / TSA PreCheck / NEXUS Credit

Up to $120 in statement credits every four years toward Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS enrollment when you pay with the card.

This is featured on a lot of travel cards and is a nice touch if you want to speed through security (TSA PreCheck), re-enter the US faster from Canada (NEXUS), or when flying back to the US internationally (Global Entry).

$120,000 Spend Tier (bonus benefits)

Spending $120,000 in a calendar year unlocks additional perks, including a $500 Southwest Airlines credit (booked through Chase Travel), a $500 credit to The Shops at Chase, World of Hyatt Explorist status, and IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite status.

Relevant only to very high-spending businesses, but very nice rewards nonetheless.

Insurance and protections

The Sapphire Reserve for Business carries one of the most comprehensive travel-protection packages of any business card — including primary rental car coverage.

Coverage generally requires you to pay for the trip with the card, and employee cards receive the same purchase and travel protections as the primary cardmember.

Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver

Decline the rental company’s collision insurance and charge the entire rental cost to your card. Coverage is primary when renting for business purposes and provides reimbursement up to $75,000 for theft and collision damage for most rental vehicles in the U.S. and abroad.

Trip Cancellation & Interruption

If your trip is canceled or cut short by sickness, severe weather or other covered situations, you can be reimbursed up to $10,000 per covered traveler and $20,000 per trip for your pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses, including passenger fares, tours, and hotels.

Trip Delay

If your common carrier travel is delayed more than 6 hours or requires an overnight stay, you are covered for unreimbursed expenses, such as meals and lodging, up to $500 per covered traveler.

Lost Luggage Reimbursement

Provides reimbursement up to $3,000 per covered traveler for the cost to repair or replace checked or carry-on baggage that is lost, damaged or stolen during a covered trip.

Baggage Delay Insurance

Reimburses you up to $100 a day for up to 5 days for essential purchases like toiletries and clothing when baggage is delayed over 6 hours.

Travel Accident Insurance

When you pay for your air, bus, train or cruise transportation with your card, you are eligible to receive up to $1,000,000 in accidental death or dismemberment coverage.

Emergency Evacuation and Transportation

If you or a covered traveler are injured or become sick during a trip 100 miles or more from home that results in an emergency evacuation, you can be covered for medical services and transportation up to $100,000.

Emergency Medical and Dental

If you or a covered traveler become sick or injured while you’re 100 miles or more from home on a trip, you can be reimbursed up to $2,500 for medical expenses, subject to a $50 deductible.

Roadside Assistance

If you have a roadside emergency, you can call for a tow, battery assistance, tire change, locksmith or gas. You’re covered up to $50 per incident 4 times a year.

Cell Phone Protection

Get up to $1,000 per claim in cell phone protection against covered theft or damage for cell phones listed on your monthly cell phone bill when you pay it with your eligible credit card. Maximum of 3 claims in a 12-month period with a $100 deductible per claim.

Return Protection

You can be reimbursed for eligible items that the store won’t accept within 90 days of purchase, up to $500 per item, $1,000 per 12-month period.

Purchase Protection

Covers your eligible new purchases for 120 days from the date of purchase against damage or theft up to $10,000 per item.

Extended Warranty

Extends the time period of the manufacturer’s U.S. warranty by an additional year, on eligible warranties of three years or less, up to four years from the date of purchase.

Travel and Emergency Assistance

If you run into a problem while traveling away from home, this benefit provides legal and medical referrals and access to other travel and emergency assistance services. (You will be responsible for the cost of any goods or services obtained.)

Coverage details last reviewed Jul 15, 2026. Always confirm current terms in the issuer's guide to benefits before relying on coverage.

Transfer partners

Points earned with the Sapphire Reserve for Business can be transferred to 15 partners.

Transfers are where Ultimate Rewards points deliver their best value, and this card unlocks Chase's full partner lineup directly. World of Hyatt is the standout — a 1:1 partner where award nights often beat 2 cents per point — alongside airline partners like United MileagePlus, Southwest Rapid Rewards, British Airways Avios, and Air Canada Aeroplan for premium-cabin and short-haul value.

Because Chase points pool across your household's cards, you can also combine points from no-fee Chase earners into this account and transfer the whole balance.

Fees

Annual Fee

The Sapphire Reserve for Business has an annual fee of $795.

Authorized User Fee

Adding additional cardholders to the Sapphire Reserve for Business will cost $195 per card.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The Sapphire Reserve for Business has a 0% foreign transaction fee making it an excellent card for purchases overseas.

Is it worth it?

Whether the Sapphire Reserve for Business is worth $795 comes down to travel volume and credit usage — the same math as its personal counterpart, aimed at a business. On paper it advertises over $2,000 in credits plus lounge access and premium earning, but much of that value is only real if your business actually uses it.

The travel-heavy business: easily worth it. Lounge access, the travel credit, primary-style protections, and 8X/4X earning on company trips can clear the fee before the lifestyle credits come into play — and the 3X advertising category rewards businesses with real digital-marketing spend.

The moderate business traveler: it depends on the credits. Use the travel credit and a few of the statement credits and you can offset much of the fee, but only if you stay on top of the terms.

The light traveler: likely overpays. If your business rarely flies, the lounge access and travel credits — the bulk of the value — go unused, and a lower-fee business card will serve better. Businesses that spend heavily but don't travel are usually better off with the Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card or a flat-rate cash-back business card like the Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card or Capital One Spark Cash.

Bottom line: it rewards businesses that travel often and will work the ecosystem. Run your company's spending and the credits you'd realistically use through the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business Points Calculator to see whether it clears $795 for you.
