Buy Hyatt points

You can buy Hyatt points directly from Hyatt's Buy Points portal page. If you're a few points shy of a redemption, it can be well worth it to top off your account.

Ways to redeem Hyatt points

Hyatt points can be redeemed for free nights at Hyatt and other hotel brands. They can also be redeemed for charges at Hyatt hotels, FIND Experiences, Lindblad Expeditions, and towards meetings and events at Hyatt brand hotels.

Free nights awards

World of Hyatt points can be redeemed for free nights at Hyatt brand hotels, Hyatt all-inclusive resorts, MGM Resorts, Miraval Resorts, and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH).

When booking free nights at Hyatt brand hotels, you'll easily be able to obtain a value of about 1.8 cents per point on average with little-to-no effort. In fact, it's not hard to find over 2 cents per point in value.

Room upgrades on paid nights

Hyatt points can be used to upgrade rooms on paid nights. This can offer very high value depending on the hotel and the upgrade—even more than the 2 cents per point you can get booking free nights in lots of instances!

Dining, spa, and room charges

Hyatt points can be redeemed for dining, spa, and other hotel charges starting at 1,000 points for a $10 credit. This redemption is available even when you're not spending the night at a Hyatt brand hotel.

Meeting and events

If you want to hold a meeting or event at a Hyatt brand property, you can do so using Hyatt points starting at 15,000 points for a $200 credit.

FIND Experiences

Hyatt points can be redeemed for FIND Experiences which covers a wide range of categories including culinary, fitness, tours, and more.

Lindblad Experiences

Hyatt points can be used to book Lindblad Experiences which can take you to various exciting and remove destinations around the world.

Avis car rentals

You can redeem Hyatt points for rentals with Avis starting at 6,000 points for an intermediate size car.

Hyatt transfer partners

Hyatt points can be transferred to over 20 airline partners mostly at a ratio of 2,500 Hyatt points for 1,000 airline miles. In addition to that, Hyatt will also throw in a bonus 5,000 airline miles for every 50,000-block of Hyatt points you transfer. So a 50,000 point transfer will give you 25,000 airline miles.

This is an excellent transfer ratio, but unfortunately Hyatt points are worth so much that converting points to airline miles will generally results in loss of value. This is because you're converting about 4.5 cents (or more) in value for only 1 airline mile which is worth 1 to 2 cents apiece on average with most airlines.
