Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card

The Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card, previously known as the American Express Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) Credit Card, was closed to new applicants on February 13th, 2019 and replaced by the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card. For those who still have the card, it provides great value thanks to the 6X earnings at Marriott properties and the annual fee night award.

Rewards Rates

Earn 6X Bonvoy points per $1 spent at over 7,000 hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy®
2X Bonvoy points for every $1 spent on all other purchases.

Key Cardholder Benefits

  • Every year, around the card anniversary date, you'll receive a free night award that's good for any hotel that costs 35,000 points or less at the time of booking. Free nights can be stacked with free nights earned with other Marriott credit cards.
  • As a Marriott Bonvoy Card holder, you'll receive 15 elite nights towards top-tier elite status with Marriott. These elite night credits can be stacked with elite nights offered on Marriott Business Credit Cards for a total of up to 30 elite nights max earned from this benefit.
  • The Marriott Bonvoy AMEX Card offers complimentary Marriott Silver Elite status. This is normally earned after staying 10 nights at Marriott brand hotels.
