Travel redemptions through National Bank: 1 cent per point.

National Bank Rewards points will have the best value when redeemed towards travel booked through À La Carte Travel Agency. This will give your points a value of 1 cent per point meaning that every 10,000 points you redeem is worth $100 in value.

Points redeemed through À La Carte Travel Agency can only be used towards flights and vacation packages.

Other travel redemptions: 0.83 cents to 0.91 cents per point.

NBC Rewards points can be redeemed towards travel redemptions made to your National Bank credit card. The value you get will depend on how many points you redeem at once:

Amount of points redeemed Redemption value Value per point in cents
Less than 55,000 points 12,000 points = $100 0.83
55,000 points or more 11,000 points = $100 0.91

If you can't find good value booking through À La Carte Travel Agency, this is a great backup option as you'll be able to book travel your way without the extra restrictions.

Investments: 0.83 cents per point.

NBC Rewards points can be put towards financial products with National Bank. This includes contributions to an RRSP or TFSA. Redemptions start at 12,000 points for a $100 value.

Mortgage payment: 0.83 cents per point.

NBC Rewards points can be redeemed towards the principal of a mortgage or All-in-One home equity line of credit held at National Bank. Redemptions start at 12,000 points for a $100 value which gives your points a value of 0.83 cents each.

Gift cards: 0.6 cents to 0.83 cents per point

NBC Rewards points can be redeemed for gift cards with a large handful of retailers starting at 3,500 points. The denominations and the points required varies depending on the retailer, but you'll get anywhere from 0.6 to 0.83 cents in value per point.

Statement credits: 0.4 cents per point.

NBC Rewards points can be redeemed towards purchases made to your NBC credit card. Redemptions start at 6,250 points for a $25 statement credit.

Points required Credit amount
6,250 $25
12,500 $50
25,000 $100
125,000 $500
250,000 $1,000

This is the lowest redemption option and I highly recommend avoiding this if possible.

Merchandise: point value varies.
