Expedia For TD

Booking travel through Expedia For TD will give your TD Rewards points the best value of 0.5 cents per point. Every 200 points that you redeem will be worth $1 in travel value.

When using Expedia For TD, you will be able to book flights, hotels, car rentals, vacation packages, and cruises. Pretty much everything that you can find and book through Expedia.ca is available in the TD portal.

The only real difference between the two is that you can redeem TD rewards points and earn bonus points when using TD credit cards on the TD version of the portal.

Why book through Expedia For TD? Here's a few of the benefits:

• Great value: One of the best benefits of Expedia for TD is that no matter what you redeem your TD Rewards points for, you'll get the same great value of 0.5 cents each. You're not stuck with only one redemption option like many other rewards programs.
• Price match: Expedia For TD does price matching for hotels and flight + hotel packages. If you meet all the requirements of their checklist, you'll be able to get the price difference refunded.
• Earn airline miles: When you redeem TD Rewards points for flights through Expedia for TD, you'll still earn airline miles on your bookings. So you book flights with airlines like Air Canada and WestJet and still earn Aeroplan points and WestJet Dollars which is fantastic.
• Bonus points: This doesn't have anything to do with redeeming points, but when you're booking travel through Expedia for TD using TD Rewards credit cards, you'll be able to earn anywhere from 3X to 9X points per $1 spent. That's a 1.5% to 4.5% return on your spend!

Book Any Way Travel

Book Any Way allows you to redeem points towards travel purchases made to a TD Rewards credit card that is outside of the Expedia for TD portal. This opens up the ability to book your trip through any travel agency or website.

Every 250 points you redeem is worth $1 in value for the first $1,200 of Book Any Way travel. Any dollar amount that is over $1,200 will only cost you 200 points for $1 in value.

This means your TD Rewards points are worth 0.4 cents per point each up to $1,200 and 0.5 cents each for every $1 spent over $1,200. So basically, you'll get 0.4 cents on average with the ability to get slightly higher value if your booking is over $1,200.

When using Booking Any Way, you'll be able to redeem your TD Rewards Points to wipe away the following types of travel purchases made to a TD Rewards credit card:

• Air travel, airline taxes, baggage fees, cargo or pet travel fees
• Airport parking, limos, shuttles
• Car rental, scooter rental
• Cruises
• Train tickets, bus fares, subways or similar local commuter transportations
• Vacation ferries
• Hotel stays, room service
• Bed & breakfasts, cottage/villa/chalet rentals
• Vacation condominium rentals
• Campsites
• Motor home rentals & campsites, RV parking & campsites
• Resort and spa vacations
• Outfitter-tailored trips
• Houseboat rentals
• Theme park tickets
• Boat, jet ski, or other watercraft rentals

• Ski rentals, lift tickets
• Restaurant bill*
• Theatre tickets*
• Gasoline*
• Travel medical insurance

Do note that restaurant bill, theatre tickets, and gasoline purchases must be connected to travel. TD will review the request to see if it qualifies. Purchases for these during non-travel situations will not be approved.

Amazon Shop with Points

TD Points can be redeemed on Amazon.ca to pay for eligible purchases instantly at checkout. Every 303 TD Rewards points will give you $1 off at Amazon.com which is 0.33 cents per point.

If you pay with any of the four available TD Rewards credit cards, Amazon will see that you're using an eligible card and will let you know that your card is eligible for Shop with Points.

You can apply any amount of points at checkout from 3 points up to the amount of points you have available that will cover the cost of your eligible purchases.

Gift Cards

You can use your TD Rewards Points for gift cards through the TD Rewards portal. Gift cards will give your points a value of 0.25 cents each with your redemption options being 10,000 TD Points for a $25 gift card or 20,000 TD Points for a $50 gift card.

There's over 60 gift card options to choose from covering multiple categories.

Cash Credit

TD Rewards Points can be redeemed as a cash credit to pay down your TD credit card account at a value of 0.25 cents per point. This means that every 400 points you redeem will shave a $1 off your TD credit card account balance.

You must redeem at least 10,000 points ($25) if you want to use your points as a cash credit. Do note that like most credit card companies, cash credits do not count towards the monthly minimum payment requirement.

TD Rewards Merchandise

TD Rewards Points can be redeemed for merchandise through the TD Rewards portal. There's a large amount of things to choose from ranging from electronics and appliances to outdoors and beauty.

The value you get from using the rewards portal will heavily vary but it will generally be low value. When checking prices against the average retail value, the redemption values hovered around 0.22 cents per point.

Convert to Starbucks Stars

TD Rewards points can be converted into Starbucks Stars at a rate of 14 TD Rewards points for 1 Star. You must convert a minimum of 700 TD Rewards points which would give you 50 Stars.
