Alliant CashBack Visa Card
The Alliant CashBack Visa Signature Card is one of the top cash back credit cards on the market. It's a straightforward card that offers a flat rate of cash back per $1 spent without having to worry about about the troubles of rotating categories or finding a bunch of credit cards to fit your spending nature. Since the Alliant CashBack Visa Signature has an annual fee, this card will make the best sense for anyone that plans on putting the majority of there spend through it. If your credit profile is full of multiple reward cards, you may risk not making enough cash back to make the card worth picking up.
The Alliant CashBack Visa Signature Card does not feature any bonus categories. It earns cash rewards at a flat rate per $1 spent. There is no limit to the amount of cash back you can earn with this Alliant Credit Card. Below are the details on the flat-rate earnings.
3% Cash Back (Year 1)
Alliant CashBack Visa Signature Cardholders will earn 3% cash back per $1 spent on all purchases in their first year. On top of that, the annual fee is also waived the first year meaning you have the ability to rake in a great deal of cash back. The only other card that can reach this type of return in the first year is the Discover IT Miles Card since Discover doubles your rewards in the first year bumping this card from a 1.5% return to 3% return. But once the second year rolls in, the Discover IT Card becomes your basic 1.5% card while the Alliant CashBack Visa Signature still comes out on top for heavy spenders earning 2.5% cash back.
2.5% Cash Back (Year 2 Onward)
The Alliant CashBack Visa Signature Card earns 2.5% cash back per $1 spent on all purchases from the second year onward. This is when the annual fee kicks in and it becomes a matter of how much spend you plan on running through this cash back card. Like any card that presents an annual fee, you will want to make sure your spend is not spread across too many rewards cards so that you can make the annual fee worth paying. When you compare the Alliant CashBack Visa Signature to flat rate cash back cards that has no annual fee, it will take $10,000 in yearly spend to beat out a 1.5% cash back card like the Capital One Quicksilver Card and $20,000 in yearly spend to overthrow a 2% cash back card such as the Citi Double Cash Card.
Perks and Benefits
The Alliant CashBack Visa Signature does not have any perks specific to the card itself, but it does feature the standard Visa Signature perks which consist of travel accident insurance, rental car collision coverage, and roadside assistance to name a few.
Sign Up Bonus
There is no sign up bonus for the Alliant CashBack Visa Signature. Other cash back cards offer great sign up bonuses that could give it an initial advantage such as the standard 50,000 Venture Mile bonus on the Capital One Venture Card worth $500. If you take the sign up bonus into consideration, this would put the Venture Card slightly ahead of the Alliant CashBack Visa Signature based on overall return for the first year.
